Electronic Benefits Transfer(EBT)

Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) is a system that allows customers in the United States to use government-issued benefits to purchase eligible food items. By activating EBT in LithosPOS, you can enable your customers to use their EBT cards for transactions involving these eligible items.

How to Enable EBT in LithosPOS

  • Install EBT in Your Account

    • Go to the Back Office.
    • Click on Integration from the side menu.
    • Locate the EBT icon and click on it to install the integration.
  • Activate EBT in your account

    • Next, navigate to Settings in the side panel.
    • Under the Features section, you will find the EBT option.
    • Toggle on the button to enable EBT for your account and save.
  • Note:

    This feature is only available for customers in the United States.

  • Activating EBT for Specific Items

    • Go to Items in the back office side menu.
    • Open the item you wish to make EBT-eligible.
    • In the toggle button section, find the EBT option.
    • Toggle on the button and save your changes.

Once enabled, these items will be eligible for purchase using EBT cards, making it easier for customers to use their benefits at your store.
