Queue Display System (QDS)
Manage queues, takeaways, and deliveries efficiently with the LithosPOS QDS by tracking incoming orders from preparation to completion.
QDS (Queue Display System) is a versatile tool in LithosPOS designed to enhance the management of queues, takeaways, and deliveries. It displays incoming orders on a screen and tracks their progress through preparation to delivery.The system operates with two screens:
1. Master Screen
This is intended for kitchen staff. When an order is placed, it appears on the master screen with a status of "Preparing." Once the order is prepared, they can update its status to "Ready."
2. Client Screen
This screen is visible to customers. As soon as an order is marked as "Ready" by the kitchen staff on the master screen, it will simultaneously appear on the client screen as "Ready."
This ensures clear communication between the kitchen and customers, reducing wait times and improving efficiency in your takeaway and delivery operation.
To set up the QDS
- Go to settings and navigate to QDS.
- Then click on the + Add QDS to add a new QDS with your POS.
- Enter a QDS name and select the store.
- Then choose the Nod type of your QDS.
- There are two types of QDS screens.
1. Master
Select the type 'Master' if the screen is placed at an order collection counter or in the kitchen. This screen is used by kitchen staff to manage and update the status of orders.
2. Client
Select the type 'Client' if the screen is intended for customers to view ready orders. This is usually displayed on a large screen and is solely for displaying orders that have been placed and completed.
- Then enter a counter name or number.
- Finally submit the settings.
- After creating a new QDS, a Connect Code will appear in a pop-up.
- Copy the code and enter it directly in the app to connect the QDS.
